Barcelona Beaches
For those who wish to laze by the beach, Barcelona beaches are numerous, clean and save, making them popular
with locals and tourists alike.
Nova Icaria, Bogatell, Mar Bella and Barceloneta are all beaches in Barcelona which have restaurant lined promenades as well as many water sport facilities. If you decide to leave Barcelona for a day trip to the sea, there are beaches both north and south to grab your attention.

To the south the beaches are longer and wider with shallow waters, ideal for children, some of the best situated around Sitges. To the north, they tend to be smaller and more attractive, with deeper waters and higher waves such as in Ocata, Caldes d'Estrach, or Caldetes. Further north is San Pol, an amazing beach just over an hour from Barcelona, with beautifully clear water and the village itself surrounded by rolling green hills.
Continuing north there are the amazing beaches on the Costa Brava, such as Sa Conca, which are worth a visit if time permits.
