Attractions

Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and its attractions are many, be it cultural, tourist or esthetical. It is the capital of Catalonia and has a very Mediterranean feel not only because of its location but because of its history and many cultural influences.

You can stroll down the La Rambla (also known as Las Ramblas) and take in its colourful street life and markets; visit Barri Gotic, the old centre of Barcelona with buildings dating from the 14th and 15th century; the La Pedrera, one of Gaudí's famous buildings and Montjuic, the hill looking over Barcelona, with its many art galleries, leisure attractions, parks and the sporting facilities built for the Olympic games in 1992.

Among other things to see are the Palau de la Música Catalana (one of the worlds most amazing music halls), Gaudí Casa-Museu, Museu Picasso and Fundació Miró.
